“Job_Description”: “Certified Registered Nurse First Assistant\r\n\r\nThe Surgical First Assistant (SFA) provides direct support to surgeons during operative procedures. This role involves assisting in exposure, hemostasis, closure, and other intraoperative technical functions that help the surgeon carry out a safe operation with optimal results. The SFA also plays a role in preoperative and postoperative patient care\r\n\r\nWork Shift:\r\nHours of coverage 11:00 AM TO 7:00 PM\r\nPay Range: $43.63 – $71.99\r\n\r\nQualifications:\r\nEducation:\r\nAssociate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in a healthcare-related field required.\r\nGraduation from an accredited Surgical First Assistant program.\r\n\r\nLicensure/Certification (one or more):\r\nCertified Registered Nurse First Assistant (CRNFA)\r\nOR\r\nPhysician Assistant (NCCPA)\r\nOR\r\nNurse Practitioner (NCCNP with surgical certification)\r\n\r\nExperience:\r\nMinimum 2 years of experience in a surgical setting required\r\nScrub experience a plus.\r\n\r\nSkills and Abilities:\r\nThorough knowledge of surgical instruments, anatomy, and aseptic technique.\r\nStrong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.\r\nExcellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.\r\nAbility to stay calm and focused in high-stress situations.\r\nStrong verbal communication and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.\r\n\r\nWorking Conditions:\r\nExposure to blood, bodily fluids, and infectious agents.\r\ndoes require long periods of standing and wearing surgical attire.\r\nOn-call availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays, may be required.\r\n\r\nKey Responsibilities:\r\nPreoperative:\r\nReview and prepare surgical plans and patient history.\r\nPrepare the surgical field and assist in positioning and prepping the patient.\r\nEnsure all surgical instruments and supplies are available and sterile.\r\nAssist in draping the surgical site.\r\nCommunication with RN and certified surgical tech in the room the plan for the patient\r\n\r\nIntraoperative:\r\nProvide adequate exposure of the operative site using retractors and other tools.\r\nControl bleeding by clamping, ligating, or cauterizing blood vessels.\r\nHandle tissues, cut sutures, and perform wound closure.\r\nSuction, irrigate, or sponge the operative site as needed.\r\nAssist with robotic, laparoscopic, and minimally invasive procedures where applicable.\r\nMonitor the patient’s vital signs under direction from the surgeon or anesthesiologist.\r\nPostoperative:\r\nApply surgical dressings and assist in transferring the patient to recovery.\r\nEnsure all instruments and materials are accounted for (sponge/instrument count).\r\nDocument operative procedures and observations accurately.\r\nParticipate in postoperative patient assessments and wound care.\r\n\r\nBenefits:\r\n$10k Sign on Bonus\r\n401k with match\r\nEligible for full benefits 1st of the month following 30 days of employment\r\n24 days of PTO in first year\r\nLong term disability and life insurance available”,
